About Octane Logistics
The bare bones
Octane Logistics is an asset-based logistics company in Akron, Ohio, and a premier player in the 3PL space. We move thousands of loads each month across multiple sectors. Whether you need bulk, dry van, flatbed, reefer, intermodal or LTL, Octane has the resources and connections to make it happen – fast. Formerly GDS Logistics, we’re packing more than 30 years of experience in moving inventory across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Our recent evolution represents a focused effort to meet customer demands, launch new technology initiatives and expand our agent network.
Why assets matter
Our focus is supply chain management, and we get pretty hyped up when we’re able to bring 3PL efficiency to small and medium companies. But it’s our company’s assets that allow us to create dedicated solutions for our customers. It’s also what strengthens our relationships with our carriers.
We don’t give up – ever
We would call that our mission statement, but it’s more of a default setting. Give Octane a transportation challenge, and we’ll solve it. Period.
Better than a machine
Even though Octane runs like a well-oiled machine, we’re not a machine. We’re real people who actually care about doing the job right. For our customers, that means providing a dedicated point of contact 24/7/365. For our employees, it means nurturing a culture of achievement and support.
See who’s steering our ship
From the top down, we’re relationship people who bring honesty and integrity into every aspect of our business. You’ll see it in our leadership, and you’ll hear it in the voice of every account executive or agent you speak with on the phone.
Craig Stacy, President & CEO
An entrepreneur at heart, Craig formed GDX Capital Group as a result of a multiple-company merger in 2014. The parent company has since evolved to comprise three partner entities: Octane Logistics, a 3PL provider; GDS Express, an asset-based dry van service; and BMC Ohio, which specializes in bulk materials transportation. Under his leadership, these companies have expanded their respective market share in the transportation industry.
Craig also currently serves as Principal/CEO of Nuway Logistics Group, a bulk transportation company.
Prior to these roles, he was President & CEO of Bronx International, Inc., a manufacturing company with offices in the US, the UK and China. Craig and his partners acquired Bronx out of bankruptcy from a UK-based holding company in 2001. During his tenure there, he helped develop equipment solutions for the oil, gas and automotive industries. Prior to the Bronx acquisition, he was CFO of Shiloh Industries, a publicly traded company.
Craig holds a BS in accounting from the University of Akron and is a Certified Public Accountant.
